Catholic Charities Free Mobile Medical Clinic (aka Mobile Medical Bus) operates throughout east and south Hillsborough County.

What we do:

For the past 15 years, Catholic Charities Mobile Medical Bus has worked with volunteer physicians, and other health and social service professionals to provide free medical, health promotion and social services to the rural poor of eastern and southern Hillsborough County. The program operates under the auspices of the State of Florida Department of Health Volunteer Health Care Provider Program targeting persons with household incomes less than 200% of poverty level and without health care coverage.

Who we serve:

The Mobile Medical Bus now has three walk in clinic sites which provides services to low-mid income families who reside in East and South Hillsborough County who are not able to receive medical services from other sources.

Our service area includes:

San Jose Mission, Dover, Fl. St. Clement Catholic Church, Plant City. Our Lady of Guadalupe, Wimauma. Bethel Mission. Good Samaritan Mission.

Our services include:

* Acute primary medical care and follow-up and referral
* Routine well woman exams
* Health promotion and disease prevention
* Health screenings for high blood pressure and diabetes

Most services are provided through a mobile bus taken directly to the target population. These mobile bus visits are scheduled during convenient evening and weekend hours and are located at accessible sites such as churches, community based social service agencies, and day care centers. A stationary clinic is also available at the San Jose Mission in Dover.
