The Citrus Outreach Center hosts a variety of services for the homeless and under-served citizens in our area. We offer nutritious hot meals served by our volunteers with Blessings Soup Kitchen along with take home service for those who rely on us to make it through each week. We Care Food Pantry serves a monthly food distribution for qualified families or individuals in Homosassa, Florida. Access Florida, provided by the State of Florida, is available at our location to assist those signing up for Food Stamps, Temporary Cash Assistance and Medicaid. We have computers available and a Job Coach ready to assist with applications for employment. The Pregnancy and Family Life Center of Citrus provides help to pregnant women and families through free confidential pregnancy testing, parenting education, mental health and wellness, maternity and children’s clothing, diaper programs and adoption services. Generous donors from our area supply our Charity Clothing Closet to meet the many needs of our clients.
Disaster Relief – we provide assistance for those who were afflicted by Hurricane Irma and its devastation. For our homeless guests we have a comfortable area to get out of the elements while catching up on the local news and enjoying a cup of coffee. Our volunteers are happy to lend an ear or offer a prayer for any person who comes through our doors. The Citrus Outreach Center is dedicated to serving the needs of our citizens with dignity, respect and compassion. We exist to offer help and provide hope by sharing the abundant love of God.
