On Saturday February 20th, The King’s Royal Heirs gospel trio presented a concert for over 40 residents at Trinity House of St Petersburg. The residents were treated to an hour and a half concert followed by refreshments and homemade cupcakes.
The Kings Royal Heirs are a gospel trio that features Diana Baker, Alto vocals and keyboard artist, Tammie Graw, Diana’s daughter, tenor vocals, Perry Mallory, lead vocal with West Whitley (husband of Linda Whitley, Trinity House, Housing Manager) on the drums.
Beautiful renditions of, Beulah Land, a medley of This is the Day the Lord Has Made, This Little Light of Mine and When the Saints Go Marching In, followed by Amazing Grace, which were just a few of the arrangements the resident’s were treated to. The residents loved the music. The apartments’ senior resident, Miss Letha Reese, turning 100 on March 30, 2016, was the perfect representation of the resident’s enjoyment of the performance: she arrived just as the band started up and did a ‘strollin’ dance as walked in. It was priceless!

Miss Letha arrives
The lady in this picture is Miss Letha Reese who will turn 100 on March 30, 2016. She arrived just as the band started up, and she did a “strollin” dance coming in. It was priceless!!!
After such a great response to the afternoon, The King’s Royal Heirs trio plans on making a return performance in the summer.
