What is the Valspar Championship, Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities?
The Valspar Championship is a 72-hole PGA TOUR official event part of the season-long FedExCup played on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. The tournament is operated by a not-for-profit organization, Copperhead Charities, Inc., a volunteer group of Tampa Bay area community leaders known as the Copperheads.
Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities is a philanthropic platform that utilizes the excitement around the Valspar Championship to help non-profit organizations in the Tampa Bay area raise awareness and funds to support their missions. Perfect for all donors, the Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities program allows for charitable contributions to be made while enjoying the enthusiasm around a professional golf tournament.
How does this contest work?
Guess the total number of birdies you believe all the contestants will score during the tournament. The total number of guesses you may enter is based on the total amount of your donation. You are permitted no more than 30 guesses. The donation form provided on this page below AND the handbook (you can download immediately below) provides historical examples of the total number of birdies that have been scored at the Valspar Championship.
How does Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg benefit?
Through the Birdies for Tampa Bay Charities program, each approved charity will receive 100% of the total amount pledged by donors as well as a 15% contribution of that total from the Copperhead Charities’ Bonus Fund. Your participation will provide much needed funds for our programs! For example, you can choose to support our free medical clinics, pregnancy centers, homeless shelters, affordable housing or other programs.
