San Jose Mission

What we do: San Jose Mission is a residential community composed of 122 rental units that provide housing for low income families involved in the agriculture or aquaculture industries. In addition, Catholic Charities provides counseling, housing counseling, immigration services, life skills education, and case management to the families. Click here to view our program card.san jose apt

The Mission also currently hosts a community partnership of health, education, and social services agencies that provide a day care center for 90 children (operated by Redlands Christian Migrant Association); an adult education and literacy program (provided by Hillsborough County Schools); a parish nurse (provided by St. Joseph’s/Baptist Hospital).

Catholic Mobile Medical Services, also available to eligible families, provides medical screening and follow-up medical care. It operates under the auspices of the State of Florida Department of Health Volunteer Health Care Provider Program targeting persons with household incomes less than 200% of poverty level and without health care coverage.  Click here to read additional information about this program. Who we serve: Only low income families involved in agriculture or aquaculture industries are eligible for the housing component. Child care is limited to migrant farm workers. All other social services/educational agencies have specific eligibility requirements.
