The Catholic Charities 2nd Annual Ministries of Mercy Celebration of Life Gala and Silent Auction was held at Higgins Hall at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Saturday, November 5th. Over 550 guests joined together to enjoy an open bar with served hors d’oeuvres, learn about Catholic Charities’ mission, listen to client testimonials, hear from their Shepherd, Bishop Gregory L. Parkes, and enjoy a presentation/cooking demonstration by Fr. Leo Patalinghug. It was a night of charity, donating to our mission through a silent auction, raffles and the ‘Call to Hope.’ This combined effort yielded a grand total of $418,788! Donate by texting CelebrateLife to 41444.

Did you miss the event? No worries, watch below!

Our keynote speaker was Father Leo Patalinghug. Father Leo is a priest member of a community of consecrated life, Voluntas Dei (The Will of God), and is a friend of Bishop Parkes. His diverse background as an award-winning chef, radio and TV host gives him a unique perspective on ministry and family life. Plating Grace with Father Leo is a fun, family focused, dynamic ministry seeking to bring about a future of stronger families, closer relationships, and a deeper understanding of Jesus as Food for our mind, body, and soul!  Father Leo cooked up a taste of Italy while he shared the message of being of service to our brothers and our sisters in need.

We are so grateful to what our sponsors have helped us accomplish over the years. Through your generous contributions, you have enabled us to continue to serve over 16,000 clients, including 123,500 meals, house over 4,500 persons, and provide pregnancy and adoption services to over 2,500 families in need.
