Did you lose your job or were furloughed as a result of COVID-19?
Are you having difficulty paying your rent and/or utility bills?
If so, we can help.
The City of St. Petersburg has provided funds to Catholic Charities to assist individuals like you who need a short-term helping had until we are all back at work.
How does it work?
First, download the first form to determine if you are eligible for assistance from this program (it is based on your household income). If you are, then download both of the forms shown immediately below it. Complete the application with your information and print out the second that includes your landlord’s information (includes a domestic violence addendum to the lease, rental assistance agreement, W-9 etc.). These landlord forms are needed to show that your landlord is in agreement with Catholic Charities paying rent (and/or utilities) on your behalf as the tenant.
Second, once you complete the application, please deliver or mail it to: 1213 16th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33705
Third, call us at (727) 893-1313 extension 155 to speak with us and make an appointment. You will bring the completed landlord forms as/when asked to by the Catholic Charities representative assisting you. We typically ask for these (landlord) forms after you have provided us with all the other required documents (listed on page one of your application).
Fourth, share this with others you know who may be struggling with their rent and utility bills.
THANK YOU to the City of St. Petersburg for making these funds available so we can assist families in need throughout our great city!
